Slant Coach
The morning bodyweight workout
Under half an hour before the shower, alternating with walks. No jumping, nothing to buy — at most a chair, a towel and two bottles of water — and the room of an exercise mat. Consistency matters more than intensity.
What it does
-
A voice-guided session
Warm-up, three rounds of a circuit and a cool-down with two tai chi movements. An animated figure for each exercise, a countdown, beeps and a voice telling you what to do. If someone's asleep, one tap and only the vibration is left.
-
A ladder for every exercise
Bodyweight training doesn't add kilos: it makes the movement harder. At the end of a session the app asks whether the reps came out clean and, the third time, offers the next step. Twelve levels open new exercises and recipes.
-
A streak without blackmail
Days in a row, best, calendar and 39 awards. A planned rest day doesn't break the streak, a holiday pauses it, and walking instead of the exercises once saves the day.
-
Walks and intervals
Logged by hand or started with the phone in your pocket: steps, route, running stretches. Seven steps of voice-guided running intervals, and a jog on the spot when it rains.
-
A protein kitchen
112 recipes filtered on your tastes and allergies, a shopping list by aisle, stock that warns you before it runs out, and twelve situations for eating out.
-
Everything stays on the phone
No account, no server, no ads and no Internet permission: without it, not one byte leaves. The backup is a file you save yourself.
Where it stands
Slant Coach is in testing and coming to Google Play. It's in Italian and English, for Android 8 or later.
